I remember working for an organization,
which had a potent cure for office politics. Over there, if an individual had a
problem with someone else, they sorted their differences out themselves. Nobody
got involved. Nobody took sides. Issues were dealt with at an individual level.
This practice was reinforced through the strong cultural norms in the
organization, which not only encouraged people to talk things out, but also
kept other employees consciously neutral.
