In recent years few leading universities have started providing
out of classroom learning opportunities of planning, budgeting and teamwork to
students through various societies. This is a very important aspect of training
and that too from an early age. Once these students enter the corporate world
they tend to continue with the same financial discipline that they learnt
during their training years. For any organisation or the society to function
financial literacy is extremely important. This needs to be promoted, within
organisations, through a culture of transparent reporting also.
