Subordinates want to
bypass their managers and go to seniors, maybe because they like shortcuts and
because they want to get credit at the platform where they think it matters
most. Seniors should obviously promote the proper channel. Managers should ensure
that their subordinates get their rights as well as appreciation at the
platform of the subordinate’s choosing.
