Diversity and inclusion | Sana | Novartis

  • Most organizations are focusing on Diversity and Inclusion. Achieving diversity is not a huge challenge. You can hire individuals with different demographics in your people mix, create a gender balance in your top leadership, etc. The biggest challenge remains how do we create a culture of inclusiveness where both your internal and external stakeholders feel that the work they do every day contributes to the overall mission and vision of the organization? A sense of purpose keeps you driven.
  • Baby boomers are at the verge of retirement, while millennials are ready to take on middle management positions and eagerly looking for purpose in everything they do. One method to reduce this diversity gap is to host 1 minute speed networking sessions and advice events where employees from both sides of the age spectrum meet and share their experiences on a given subject. Benefits can include a much deeper appreciation of each other’s needs, talents and commitment towards working together.

  1. Agreed! Conducting interview is an art, not everyone's cup of tea, most of the time an interview turns into interrogation, you don't need to tell the candidate during the interview what he/she said is right or wrong, let them say what and how they want to say, in the mean while you can make your notes and make a decision based on it later on. This blog should definitely help interviewers.

  2. Agreed. The biggest challenge i face on a daily basis is finding talent that is a cultural fit to my organization. A unique approach to each individual has helped me in my learning process.
